Vintage weather.

As the summer weather arrived we thought about getting the fleet washed and ready for the occasional vintage tractor run or gathering so after Eric had finished arranging our bags of winter fuel we steam cleaned the pair of them. Dolly the 1200 has been having some mechanical work undertaken recently to the hydraulics and after a full service she is working well although might undergo having the injectors and pump looked at to aid the starting procedure.

As Eric was looking so well after having a wash I took him on the Apple Blossom Tractor Road Run through parts of Co. Armagh raising funds for Musgrave Hospital, Belfast and it was a great day which was well supported by many including a local radio star here in Northern Ireland the one and only Hugh Duncan! Its hard to spot the wee lad in the middle of all those common red and blue machines but he’s in their somewhere.

Meanwhile in the workshop were working on an Oak sideboard which involves a few curves so challenging but worth it and several other projects. The notice board has been delivered and installed with pictures to follow.
