Log Store.

Replacing our previous Logstore posting we thought you’d appreciate a picture of this model completely filled with firewood. We feel, and I’m sure you’d agree that this is grand enough to sit at the door of any house and complement its surroundings!

All our log stores are hand made from Redwood prepared in our own workshop with a durable Larch boarded roof and assembled with stainless steel screws to avoid any corrosion.

Standard size overall as illustrated below is 1.6mts wide x 1.4mts high x 0.7mts deep, suitable to store a bulk bag of firewood available from our local supplier Homra Logs. Other shapes, sizes and colours can be made on request if you have a particular idea in mind.

The log store above is treated with OSMO Country Colour “Dove Blue” with a final overall finish of OSMO UV Protection Oil. The beauty of these finishing products is that they enhance the timber without any risk of it peeling, cracking or flaking. They are specially formulated allowing the timber to breathe whilst being water and dirt resistant and containing the UV protection to prevent discolouration from the sun. Several colours are available and this treatment is applied at an additional cost.

Recently we were asked by a client to make a “Fir Green” log store to fit a particular space, standing at 1.8mts wide x 2mts high x 0.7mts deep overall. On delivery it blended with the external decor of the house really well.

Before loading the recent batch of log stores for delivery we siezed the opportunity to take a picture of the selection together.

Another rquest was to make a Black “standard” Log Store which complemented the cottage quite well when in position.
